The United Way of the Flint Hills is working to advance the common good by focusing on the building
blocks for a good life - education, income and health.
United Way agencies serve residents of Chase, Coffey, Greenwood, Lyon, Morris, Osage, and Wabaunsee counties by connecting those who need help with the right services and support. Families in crisis find housing, food, and a helping hand. Our youngest community members receive mentoring and access to youth programs that can change their lives. Victims of domestic violence are given shelter and the strength they need to build a new life. Seniors find caring and support.
A major focus is to create long-lasting changes that prevent problems from happening in the first place.
We bring together people from all across the community to tackle the issues. We all win when a child
succeeds in school, when a family becomes financially stable, and when people have good health.

The United Way of the Flint Hills has been involved in the immediate relief efforts in Harveyville to assist those impacted by the February 28 tornado. We have been on the ground to assist in volunteer management and to provide guidance to local officials.
The United Way of the Flint Hills is committed in assisting the residents in their long term recovery and has established a tornado relief fund for this community. 100% of all donations designated to the Harveyville Tornado Relief will be distributed back to the Harveyville residents. Donations can be sent to the United Way of the Flint Hills, Harveyville Tornado Relief Fund, 702 Commercial, Suite 2-E, Emporia, KS 66801.
